Today the children have been using their imaginations to create lots of delicious dishes in the mud kitchen. They have made mud soup, pies, wraps, ice creams and fruit salads. 

We have been noticing patterns around us and talking about repeated patterns.  Using loose parts in the nursery the children have been creating their own repeated patterns.  

This week the children have been listening to and following instructions to make sandwiches. They chose their fillings and talked about where our foods come from. Their spreading and cutting skills are certainly improving!

We have had a special arrival of caterpillars in Reception! The children have loved watching them grow over the last week. We have talked about the life cycle of a butterfly and found out that butterflies lay eggs, a caterpillar comes from the egg. The caterpillars then form a chrysalis before…

This week we have started reading ‘The Sea Saw’ by Tom Percival. The children then wanted to visit the beach so we added water to our sandpit and the children were able to dig, build and have fun with their friends. 

There were some amazing hair creating on show this crazy hair day!  Thank you for all your support for our PTA.  

We’ve had some very creative hairstyles for the PTA’s ‘Crazy Hair Day’.

Today we visited Church and looked at the Easter display showing the cross and Jesus’s tomb. This reminded us of the different bible stories we have read about Jesus throughout our topic ‘To the Ends of the Earth’. We also looked at the baptismal font and talked about our own baptisms.
