Exploring our Forest School Area
Nursery A and B children came together this morning in our forest school area for a wonderful time of friendship and exploring. For many it was their first visit to our forest school area.
There will be some happy, tired and muddy children this evening!
Learning the Sign of the Cross
We have spent time learning the sign of the cross prayer in nursery as part of our prayers and learning in RE. The children have also been very busy learning their morning, lunchtime and home time prayers both in school and at home.
Duplo
The children are learning to share their toys and resources with lots of other children. They are learning how to resolve conflicts when things do not go their way or they have to wait to use a toy. We are very proud of how well they are doing.
Water Play
The children are loving exploring the water tray. Lots of language opportunities as they play.
Settling into Nursery A
The children in Nursery A have had a very busy time settling in, discovering and exploring our nursery environment. The children were very excited by the opening of our new ‘Autumn Outdoor Cafe’ today!
A Busy Week
We have had such a busy first week in Reception. We have been exploring all the areas in our classrooms and garden. The children have been learning all about our routines, listening to stories and practising some mindfulness techniques. We have had a brilliant start to Reception and the children…
Building Friendships in Nursery
Well done to our new children in Nursery who are quickly settling into new routines and making friends. We are learning to share and take turns whilst having lots of fun.
First Day
Just a snapshot of the children exploring all our classrooms have to offer. Don’t worry if you cannot find your child. We will be posting lots over the coming weeks.
Nursery’s Celebrations
The children in Nursery have thoroughly enjoyed their final week together. They have played, danced, sang and had lots of fun in the sunshine. Have a wonderful summer everyone!
Supertato Heroes in Nursery
After reading ‘Supertato’ by Sue Hendricks and Paul Linnet, the children went home and created their own Supertato hero. They shared their wonderful creations with their friends and talked about their different super powers.
Water Play in Nursery
Today the children enjoyed water play in tyres and tuff trays. After watching England’s highlights, we imagined being at a swimming pool or beach in Mexico. The children talked about the weather and how the water felt on their feet and legs.
