In DT, the children enjoyed making flatbreads.

They worked in small groups to mix their ingredients together and used rolling pins to shape their flatbreads.

The children have been learning about how search engines work.

In groups, they explored the playground in order to gather information about a range of books and work in a similar way to a search engine. 

We have been working textiles to create our own box covered in fabric. It was pretty messy but they looked great 

It may be a rainy day but we are always busy in reception!

This afternoon the children were comparing the lives and works of Florence Nightingale and Kitty Wilkinson. They worked as a group to sort facts into a Venn diagram.

This week the children in nursery received a letter from Mr and Mrs Baker asking them to enter the ‘Award Winning Cake Competition’. The children are thinking carefully and talking to one another about the shape and size of their cakes as well as toppings and flavours.

Our basketball unit ended with a tournament. So many children have made fantastic progress and we've had great fun too.

This morning we have been learning about Diwali or the ‘Festival of Lights’ The children were very interested to hear how this is celebrated and we are going to be making our very own diva pots in class.

During today's meeting the children discussed the designs for our upcoming Social Signature Superstars Award, that replaces the old Star of the Term award.
