We are enjoying our special time spent together each day in prayer.  The children choose items to set up a focus area before we spend time together. 

Last week, Y5 had an excellent time at St Joseph’s Prayer Centre.

The children took part in a range of workshops celebrating differences and recognising the qualities in each other.

After weeks of watching and waiting our caterpillars emerged from their chrysalis’ as beautiful butterflies. Today it was time to release them.  We were so excited, just look at our faces! 

Today one of our  nursery children came to tell me that she had built a church.  What an amazing creation! She showed me all the people and told me that they were at Mass.  We discussed that the people were parishioners and that we call them the congregation when they are gathered in prayer.…

We made palm leaves in our key person groups and used small world figures to retell the story of Jesus entering Jerusalem, a story that we remember on Palm Sunday.  Different groups of children chose to recreate this story during their role-play throughout the few weeks…
