On Thursday, some children from Year 5 went to celebrate Mass at the Metropolitan Cathedral. The mass was led by Archbishop John Sherrington and was to celebrate all the work done in raising money for Nugent Care.

We are enjoying our special time spent together each day in prayer.  The children choose items to set up a focus area before we spend time together.

After weeks of watching and waiting our caterpillars emerged from their chrysalis’ as beautiful butterflies. Today it was time to release them.  We were so excited, just look at our faces! 

Year 1- RSHE- Who is My Neighbour? 
 

The children listened to the story of The Good Samaritan and talked about who their neighbour is-everyone! We made paper chain people and thought of ways we can help our neighbours. 

Today one of our  nursery children came to tell me that she had built a church.  What an amazing creation! She showed me all the people and told me that they were at Mass.  We discussed that the people were parishioners and that we call them the congregation when they are gathered in prayer.…
