The children have played and worked hard all year in nursery and so today they were treated to a lovely relaxing foot spa whilst listening to calming music. 

We had a lovely afternoon tea celebration for our end of year party yesterday.  The children enjoyed making their own hats in preparation.  We also had dancing and party games in the hall.  We are ready for Reception in September!

This week we are reading ‘The Very Hungry Caterpillar’ and learning about the life cycle of a butterfly. Today we made caterpillar salads using different fruits and vegetables. We talked about healthy foods and where our foods come from.

This week we are making friendship bracelets! We are talking about the friends we have made in Reception and what we like to do with them. We used our fine motor skills to thread beads onto the string.

This week the children are reflecting on our time in Reception. We have talked about what we have enjoyed, what we found tricky and all the activities we have loved. We then made dream catchers, threading wool, beads and feathers together thinking about our dreams and hopes for year 1.

The children took part in a mindfulness and yoga session this week. They listened brilliantly, relaxing and moving their bodies in different ways.
