Class of 2027 (Y4)

Year 4 recorder lessons have begun. We are so excited to learn something new. If we can play the recorder, there are so many other instruments that we can learn too! 

We have been so lucky in Year 4 to have a visit from  one of our school governors, who is also a real scientist! Mr Middleman kindly brought different equipment into school to help us with our science topic on sound. 

We talked about how sound cannot travel through a vacuum, how sound waves…

Partitioning

Today we worked on partitioning numbers to 1000 using the tables and our dry wipe pens to make it more fun!

Pizzas!

As part of our Design Technology topic of Food and Nutrition, we made our own pizzas! 

We made a simple yoghurt based dough and added toppings. The children loved learning new skills and talking about how we can make healthier choices.
