Dayandnight
The children have been exploring day and night. We talked about how the Earth rotates and makes a full turn every day. We discussed when part of the Earth faces towards the sun it is daytime and when Earth faces away from the sun it is nighttime. We have learnt that Earth rotates and the sun does not move. We used balls and torches to explore how the Earth rotates and day and night occur. We then talked about the different phases of the day such as sunrise, midday, sunset and midnight and placed pictures into the correct cycle.
