The Year 6 leavers party is in full swing this afternoon, courtesy of our wonderful PTA. The children are dancing away to the disco and enjoying delicious pizza and cakes. 

Year 6 are enjoying playing board games and chess on their penultimate morning of primary school.

On Monday morning, year 6 celebrated our first ever outdoor leavers’ mass in our prayer garden. Parents, parishioners and staff were invited to join the celebration. 

The backstage crew are preparing for our second dress rehearsal, this time for key stage one. We don’t want to give any spoilers away, but families- you are in for a real treat this evening!

Well done to the children who took part in the Golf Sixes competition yesterday at Aintree Golf Centre. Both year groups did fantastic and came second place.

Today in maths, the children worked in groups to sift through a range of cards to help plan a school trip. 

The children had to use lots of different skills to decipher and calculate the information before writing the letter that would be sent out to parents. 

 

How strong is a piece of spaghetti?

For our latest DT topic, we started to investigate how strong a piece of spaghetti is. We worked in groups to build ‘bridges’ and investigated how to make the strongest bridge.

 

Mrs Boylan’s group had fun today discovering the different types of angles. 

We estimated what type of angle they were before estimating their size. 

 

To celebrate all the hard work that the children have put in over the past months, we celebrating our final test with a chippy lunch!
