Spoon Friends in Nursery A
As part of our introduction to nursery we have been creating some spoon friends, this is also a chance for the adults in nursery to have some one-to-one time with the children and we build relationships and connections.

Building a Bridge to the Autumn Cafe!
The children have been busy this morning building a bridge to our outdoor autumn cafe. We saw some brilliant teamwork and problem solving.

Nursery Rhyme Time
A newly donated glockenspiel became a focal point in nursery this morning and we ended up having a nursery rhyme medley led by Mrs Bruchez with Mrs McIntyre joining in on the flute!
Nursery Enjoying the Autumn Sun
This week the children have had lots of fun playing outdoors in the lovely sunshine. They have been reading, painting and building together. Indoors they are enjoying role-playing in the home corner and are learning to take turns.
Nursery’s Autumn Treasures
The children have been looking for signs of autumn and have collected their own bag of ‘Autumn Treasures’ to share with their friends. We have talked about our different seasons and explored their findings including the different shapes and colours. We will use our treasures to make pictures and…
Special Time
We have been learning to pray in school. The children have been practising the sign of the cross and spending special time talking to God. Sometimes they choose to spend a little time saying a private prayer at our special RE table.

Snack Time
We enjoy lots of healthy snack in Reception. Today we were trying a garlic dip with breadstick and fruit. It was delicious!
Nursery Visit the Library
The children are enjoying their weekly visits to the school library where they share books with their friends and listen to stories. This week we read 'Stick Man' by Julia Donaldson.
God’s Wonderful World
Reception went on a lovely walk around the school looking at all the wonderful features God has created. We looked at the plants, trees, birds and sky.
Fine Motor Skills
Every day we practise our motor skills by doing different activities. This week we are threading small beads onto pipe cleaners, this takes a lot of concentration and dexterity.
Learning to Play and Share in Nursery
As we continue to settle in Nursery, the children are getting to know one another and have been learning to play, share, wait and take turns. Together they are building, painting, exploring and having lots of fun.
