We have been learning to pray in school.  The children have been practising the sign of the cross and spending special time talking to God.  Sometimes they choose to spend a little time saying a private prayer at our special RE table.  

We enjoy lots of healthy snack in Reception.  Today we were trying a garlic dip with breadstick and fruit.  It was delicious! 

The children are enjoying their weekly visits to the school library where they share books with their friends and listen to stories. This week we read 'Stick Man' by Julia Donaldson. 

Reception went on a lovely walk around the school looking at all the wonderful features God has created. We looked at the plants, trees, birds and sky. 

Every day we practise our motor skills by doing different activities.  This week we are threading small beads onto pipe cleaners, this takes a lot of concentration and dexterity.  

Working together to build a zoo!

As we continue to settle in Nursery, the children are getting to know one another and have been learning to play, share, wait and take turns. Together they are building, painting, exploring and having lots of fun. 

Nursery A and B children came together this morning in our forest school area for a wonderful time of friendship and exploring. For many it was their first visit to our forest school area.  

There will be some happy, tired and muddy children this evening! 

We have spent time learning the sign of the cross prayer in nursery as part of our prayers and learning in RE. The children have also been very busy learning their morning, lunchtime and home time prayers both in school and at home.  

The children are learning to share their toys and resources with lots of other children.  They are learning how to resolve conflicts when things do not go their way or they have to wait to use a toy.  We are very proud of how well they are doing. 

The children are loving exploring the water tray. Lots of language opportunities as they play.
