The children were investigating which material is the best to keep a drink warm.
Every hour, they recorded the temperature of the water and recorded their findings.
We discovered that the fleece was the best material for keeping the water warm.
In my Norse myth . . .
This week, we have been creating poems based around Norse mythology.
The children explored the classroom adding noun phrases, similes and metaphors relating to each animal, object, setting or character.
They then took those ideas and used them to form their poems.
Equator, Northern and Southern Hemisphere
This term we are looking at how the Earth is divided.
We looked at how the Equator bisects the Earth into the Northern and Southern Hemisphere.
We then researched and discussed the differences between the two hemispheres.

The children then imagined what Mary and Elizabeth would say to each other after finding out they were both pregnant.

Today we have been exploring what is the effect of water resistance.
We discussed how water resistance is stronger than air resistance using the example of trying to move through the pool.
After, we investigated how shape affects the speed an object drops.

This morning, the children headed into the woods to practice their den building skills. They worked in teams to ensure that all of their group would be able to fit in.
