Beth Tweddle Gymnastics
Year 6 enjoyed their first gymnastics session led by Beth Tweddle this week! We can’t wait to show you our different balances and leaps in a few weeks time!
Reading and Relaxation
The children in Y6 enjoyed their first reading and relaxation afterschool club. They voted for the book Ghostlines by Katya Balen. We finished the session with a calming relaxation. The sound of soft snoring could be heard.
Lord of the Rings Warhammer Club
This half term Year 6 are taking part in Warhammer Club! We’ve managed to learn the rules and this week we’ll spend time painting our minatures!
Maths Scavenger Hunt
Taking a break from our revision, Y6 took their maths learning onto the field. The children worked in small groups to hunt down the different clues around the field. Each answer would lead them to another clue which they needed to find. It was a race against time to solve all 20 clues!
Well…
Year 6 Netball
Well done to our Year 6 netball team for competing in the South Sefton Netball League. The girls made fantastic progress throughout the year and enjoyed playing competitively.
Thursday Evening Bonfire
After a busy (and rather wet) day developing new skills, the children were able to end their evening with a traditional bonfire.
Thursday
Blue Tubes, Crate Build, Obstacle Course, Group Canoe and the infamous Raft Building
Wednesday Evening Orienteering
Sorted into groups and set out to find and locate points on a map!
Computing
Staying Safe Online
Today in computing, we discussed the pros and cons of being online. We then looked through some scenarios and discussed how this would make us feel. We designed a poster for younger children to help them know what they can do to stay safe online.
