Year 1 Our Jubilee Pledge
We have been talking about our Jubilee Pledge in Year 1. We have decided that we will be thinking carefully about the difference between wants and needs.
Do we really need another toy? Do we really need more clothes? Do we really want more sweets?
Year 1- Gymnastics
The children have enjoyed doing gymnastics in PE this week. We have been very lucky to have coaches from Beth Tweedle teaching the children various skills. They have been learning to use the springboard, different types of rolls and balancing on the benches. Well done Year 1!
Counting in Nursery
Today some of our nursery children worked together to order the number squares 1 to 10. Lots of number conversations could be heard!
Design & Technology: PotatoRosti
We talked about the differences between processed food and fresh food. The children then used peeling, grating and squeezing techniques to make their own potato rosti, which could be a healthy breakfast or snack.

This week we have been working in teams using our orienteering course. It was great fun and we will be using it lots more in the future.
Nursery B Cooking in the Mud Kitchen
Today the children have been using their imaginations to create lots of delicious dishes in the mud kitchen. They have made mud soup, pies, wraps, ice creams and fruit salads.

Year 5 looked at what is a mammal and an amphibian.
We explored what is a living thing before examining the similarities and differences between mammals and amphibians.
Food and Nutrition: Overnight Oats
