Nursery's Visit to Church
Today we visited Church and looked at the Easter display showing the cross and Jesus’s tomb. This reminded us of the different bible stories we have read about Jesus throughout our topic ‘To the Ends of the Earth’. We also looked at the baptismal font and talked about our own baptisms.

Kingsley & Co Book Trip
Year 4 recently visited Kingsley & Co, a Ykids literacy project operating as a cosy cafe and book shop in Bootle.
The children absolutely loved playing, reading and simply sharing books for the day. It was a fantastic experience from start to finish!

Belonging to a Family
In nursery, as part of our RE topic we visited church to talk about how the parish family gathers there to pray and worship God. We had already talked about how we belong to our family at home and our school family.
Fruit salad
The children have made fruit salads this week! First, we explored fruits and vegetables and the difference between them. We then carefully prepared melon, pineapple, strawberries, banana and tangerines to add to our own fruit salad!
History of Football Grounds
To celebrate the final men’s game at Goodison Park, the children created fact files about the stadiums of Liverpool.
They completed their own research as well as describe some of their own personal experiences of going to each ground.
What shape?
To consolidate our learning of properties of different shapes, the pupils played in small groups a game of ‘What shape?’
By asking yes or no questions, the children had to solve which shape the other person had selected.

Fruit lollies
Fruit lollies were a perfect choice to make on our warm week in nursery A. The children used cutting skills to prepare the soft fruit and distributed them into ice lolly moulds, after calculating how much fruit we would need. After that the children practised their pouring by adding water before…
Self service snack time
Our snack table is always a favourite area of nursery. We encourage independence by children choosing their own healthy snack, taking it to a table to eat, chatting to their friends and adults in nursery and washing up their own dishes afterwards.
