Wednesday 8th May – Today we proudly launch the Sefton Children’s University Passport scheme for Years 1-5. Laura Grigsby from Sefton Children’s University Trust gave an assembly to the whole school and a letter was sent home to explain how the scheme can help your child gain credits towards Children’s University and enable them to graduate in Years 2 & 6.
The passport is to be used for all out of school learning that families do when visiting museums, libraries, Brownies, Scouts, even places like Farmer Ted’s and Rampworkx are official learning destinations! This is in addition to every club that we run in school for which the children already get credits for. We are hoping that this will help even more children graduate by doing the things they love in their own time!
If there is a club or place you visit with your child that isn’t yet a learning destination, please let us know in school and we will ask Sefton CU to authorise it so that every visit can start to count! Cost of the passports is £1.50 available from class teachers and from Monday 13th May onwards, they can be purchased from the main office.
