Summer Fayre 2010

Just a reminder to say that we raised £2500 at the school fair and to thank everyone for the kind generosity!

How YOU can help us with Fundraising in School

We are currently running several recycling and fundraising schemes that we feel benefit both our community and school.

Firstly, we are taking old inkjet cartridges for recycling via Cartridge World in Wlaton Vale. Click the button for more infomation about this scheme. Start sending your cartridges in today!

In January, we will be starting our Fones 4 School campaign again. This is a great way to get rid of your old mobile phones that are sitting in the drawer in the kitchen! Every phone that is brought in receives a prize and a small amount is donated to school. Last time, we raised £900 in funds through this campaign. The phones are recycled and not simply thrown into landfill which is better for the environment too.

Finally, we have setup a Buy 4 Schools webpage which will allow both school and families to gain cashback for buying items online. Buy4Schools is a new school fundraising service bought to you by ParentMail, which rewards parents as well as schools for everyday shopping. You can purchase from 2,000 major retailers accessible through Buy4Schools. Every purchase generates cashback which is split 50/50 between you and the school. There is no obligation and you do not pay more for this service!

Friends Of English Martyrs Association

Friends of English Martyrs Association (F.O.E.MA.)
This small but extremely hardworking group of people continue to give our school  invaluable help. Their many fund raising activities have enabled the school to purchase equipment, which would normally be beyond our budget. They support the school in many other ways too – they run the lottery, buy football and netball kits, pay for Christmas parties and subsidise the Year 6 residential trips.
Would you consider helping out and becoming a member? This does not mean endless meetings, but giving as little or as much time as you are able. Please give your name into the headteacher if you can help out.
