Harvest Festival, 22nd October 2009

OneWorld-logo-2009

We celebrated our annual Harvest Festival on Thursday 22nd October at 2pm. We enjoyed this special occasion as an opportunity to come together in prayer and thanksgiving.

As this year’s celebration took place during One World Week, we adopted the theme ‘Hungry for One World’. The aim of One World Week is to bring people together from diverse cultures or faiths to explore how we can contribute to alleviating the hunger we see in our world. We welcomed many donations of non-perishable & perishable foods this harvest time and all have now found a good home with those in greatest need in our local area.
To read just how your kindness has been shared with the local community, please read the letter of thanks from the Bosco Society in Bootle, where all of the food was delivered. Once again, many thanks for your generosity and kind contributions!
